Transfer of services from Eutelsat 16A to Eutelsat 16D

Eurovision Services will closely monitor the transfer of services from Eutelsat 16A to Eutelsat 16D. The new satellite will provide coverage similar to that of Eutelsat 16A. The transfer is scheduled between 02:08 and 02:26 UTC.
Earth stations will need to make minor adjustments to beacon tracking or optimise antenna pointing for fixed reception.

15 September 2026 | 02:12–02:26 | Earth stations switch tracking to Eutelsat 16D and adjust uplink EIRP in accordance with Eutelsat CSC instructions. |
Beacon parameters
Antennas equipped with tracking systems will need to use the following Eutelsat 16D beacon frequencies.

The continuous wave (CW) beacon is recommended for earth stations equipped with tracking systems. Stations without high-band reception capability may use the TM beacon.
Eutelsat 16D ephemeris data can be made available on request for stations without tracking systems, to optimise antenna pointing when the satellite is at the Centre of the Box.
Satellite coverage
Eutelsat 16D will provide coverage similar to that of Eutelsat 16A.
